Opening Round: San Jose vs Las Vegas

I think this could be the best series of the 1st round, maybe even playoffs.

Guilt Trip reported this post to moderator... I didn't think it was THAT hot of a take ;)

edit: Ah, apparently non-mods can't post here? Uh I'll message Rick.

Besides the Leafs/Bruins, this has the makings of a much watch series. Going with Vegas because I think they have better goaltending.

Head says Vegas, but I'm going San Jose in 7 here. At some point Martin Jones is going to remember he's supposed to be a decent starting goalie, if it happens now then I see the Sharks going all the way to the Finals.

San Jose in 6. Addition of Stone makes me a bit hesitant, but I think Old Man Joe will pull out some tricks. Burns and Karlsson on the back end is just scary.

Vegas took a commanding 3-0 lead in game 2 against San Jose and the Sharks pulled Jones. Then they came back with 3 unanswered to tie the game.

Oh did I mention this all happened in the first 20 minutes?

Oh wait pulled Jones doesn?t mean they went empty net.

Sharks score the go ahead goal, but it's waived off because of a goalie interference PENALTY (which means no review/challenge):

Vegas scores on the resulting powerplay. Just a wild game haha

Horrible call. He was outside the blue paint.

This challenge rule is hilarious. "We'll review a player for goalie interference that was minor enough to NOT warrant a penalty... but we won't review it for one that was allegedly enough to warrant a penalty".

Like Cherry says, the only icings waived off are usually the ones that are the most dangerous.

Doughty is right, Burns isn't very good defensively. He looked pathetic on that SH goal. Like oh there goes the guys...ho hum..
