You know it's not going well when the best part of the "Delivery of the game" is a highlight of the team's only goal from the previous game...
So true.

I have Gamecenter Live and I only ever watch Leafs games on it.

I think I'm doing it wrong.

So the excuse is that two of their goals were scored directly after penalties should have been called, yeah?

Since the Leafs got the 3-1 goal I've got Kulemin outchancing the topline 2-1 on his own (the Phaneuf post was off a great pass from Kulie).

Sorry to quote myself but this is pretty much the way it stayed. And all of them: Lupul, JvR, Kadri, Kessel, Phaneuf had the puck with the opportunities to make plays but there was no execution. The top players dud not make any clutch plays.

Carlyle logic.  Bench Gardiner for 25 minutes of of the game.  Play him for 5:15 of the remaining 10:21 of the game when he comes back in.

Nothing substantial has changed personnel-wise much since the beginning of the season when Bolland and Bozak were healthy, and the Leafs were flirting with second place in the division.

I'd like to think that they'd be capable of playing that well again with the same roster. Or has the team just become awful?

But they weren't playing that well then, really. They had their special teams going and the goalies were great rather than merely very, very good, but, other than that, a lot of people identified big holes in their game and worried what would happen if players started going down to injury.

I definitely see a team that has either a) completely given up on their coach, or b) is completely confused as to what their coach wants them to do. There are way too many instances of forwards and defencemen standing around watching with no clue where they need to go or who to cover.

This team was sloppy and coughed up the puck alot under Wilson but they never looked this lost or had the complete inability to complete a break out 95% of the time.

Carlyle - fatigue.....young teams that only play 1/3 of games shouldn't be getting fatigued
