Penguins @ Leafs - Feb. 20th, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

When the Leafs work this hard, they?re as good as any team in the league. If they could figure out how to put in this kind of effort for 60 minutes every game (or, at least, 90% of them), they?d be Cup contender instead of a bubble team.

That was a hell of a pass by Kerfoot.
Certainly was. What a breakout play from the Muzz. Kappy sticking up for Sandin. Great job. Pitt should have got the extra for a cross-check to the face.

This, very much this.  This for 60 minutes a night puts them in Tampa territory.  A boost on defence and they're scary.  But they need consistent effort first and foremost.

Effort and positioning.

Matthews taking Kappy's spot. Kerfoot looks rejuvenated back at centre. I think there were a couple of smart guys suggesting he go back to 3c.

Pretty much. All they need to do is win their puck battles/races a little more often and it?s back to having the puck on their sticks in dangerous areas. That?s it.

Love Sandin's net-front fight on that shift.
The kid is good.
Wait until he's another year or two older and puts on another 15 pounds of man muscle. His physique right now reminds me of Rielly when he was a rookie. He could also benefit from some extra time with Barb...his first few steps in a straight-away seem a tad slow for a NHLer

Barb can fix that.

Had to leave to drive my kid to soccer practice tonight. Gonna be here until 10. Perhaps I'm a jinx? That would really suck knowing I was the reason these last 40+ years

Barb could and should be our 4C.

A fun game I like to play is, ?Guess Frank Seravelli?s Age?

No googling. You?ll never get it.

Funny, I had to take my kid to Cub Scouts on Tuesday and missed that game. Perhaps I'm the anti-jinx.
