I am totally not seeing the point of guys like Parenteau & Grabner, let alone Clune.

I don't even remember hearing the announcers say the name of a single player in the Leafs bottom-6 in the last half of the game.

Truly.  I mean, if you are going to sign guys with NHL experience as placeholders, are they really the best you can do?  Maybe they are, I guess.  But sheesh all the same.

One of the truly fun things about this season is all of the times I'm going to have to watch this clown car of a team and then, post-loss, get treated to the Connor McDavid show.

I can only foresee three possible outcomes of this season for the Leafs:

1)  They finish last overall, fail to win any of the three lotteries and draft 4th.
2)  They finish last overall, win the #1 lottery and draft Auston Matthews, who suffers a career-ending injury in his rookie season.
3)  They finish last overall, get chosen to draft 2nd, and Edmonton wins 1st overall.

Bernier sucks... Should have traded him when they had the chance.

What chance was that?

Last offseason when several teams were after a goalie and there was a chance teams still thought he was good (that his poor play was a result of the crap team in front of him)

Man, 10 games in and Babcock already sounds and looks like a defeated man.

I thought quite the opposite, I think he owned it very well with the media and I believed him when he said he'd get things moving in the other direction.

But he still has a crap team in front of him. Wouldn't that chance still exist?

Crap team doesn't excuse some of the goals he is allowing.  It would account for his record, but he has been the difference between them losing 2-0 as opposed to 4-0.

Except that's only true if he doesn't then also prevent quite a few goals on top of that.

A "good" goalie wouldn't only be letting in 2 goals a game for this team and Bernier's not letting in 4 a night. Bernier's slow start, and that's really all it is, is probably closer to the difference between 2.5 goals a game and 3.
