In a trade after he clears waivers, maybe. But, as a waiver claim, knowing they have to keep him up on the NHL roster or put him back on waivers themselves (where the Leafs likely scoop him back up and can then send him down without having to put him on waivers) . . . I don't see it. It really doesn't look like there's enough potential for that anymore. He's young, yes. He has size, but he really doesn't use it. He's really only shown brief brief glimmers of promise when facing NHL competition. Teams are going to add the best potential option to fill the roster holes they're looking at waivers for, and Colborne isn't likely to be that.
