Game Notes
NSH
-Justus Annunen will likely start for the Predators
-Nashville is coming off a 4-1 win over the sens on Monday, with 2 of those goals coming on an empty net. This sets up a likely battle of the backups with both teams on the second half of a back to back
TOR
-Cayden Primeau will likely make his first start as a Leaf
-No word on any potential line-up moves for this game other than the goalie change. The Knies-Matthews-Cowan line did have a 16-5 advantage in shot attempts against Detroit so that might be worth giving another look

I think they should run the exact same line up as yesterday. My only thought would be to drop Maccelli to the 4th line or the press box.

He's a top 6 forward or bust IMO. And the early smell test says bust
I mean counterpoint would be all of his success in the NHL so far has come while in a 3rd line role. Berube himself pointed out at the beginning of camp that immediately throwing him into the top line here wouldn't be the best thing for him. I hate to harp on this every day seemingly but the line juggling reaction to losing the teams 4C was just too much.

I agree about the realignment of the full roster because Laughton went out is extreme.

That said, I think you can call his success fleeting. He saw two ok years where his shooting went through the roof. Both in quantity and percentage. If he played a majority of his 23/24 season on the 3rd line, he still managed to somehow take 149 shots that season. Almost triple his previous season and almost double the following season. Clearly not sustainable.

I just don't know what team can run a roster with Domi, Robertson and now Maccelli. 3 players that don't contribute much away from the offense.

Jarnkrok! I knew he would excel in the Berube system, and I think he could work on the Knies-Matthews wing periodically. Riding a 3-game goal streak facing his old team that left him exposed in expansion? Against their backup goalie? Let's go for 4.
