Does it sound like this Rielly kid might make the team this year?

It sounds like he looks good compared to other prospects. That's really the extent of it.

Yup. No matter how good this kid looks, it would be smart for them to keep him in Junior this year. Especially after the limited number of games he played this past year: Let him get a full season under his belt, play in the WJC, and maybe a playoff run with the Marlies if his Junior year is over...

Smart, even if only because of extending his RFA contract status...well, as it stands with the current CBA.

Those issues aside, we have an overcrowded d-corps.  Even if he out played several of the veterans to crack the top 4, it would give our defense too many offensive defensemen with him, Liles and gardiner.
