Qualifier Game 4: Leafs @ Blue Jackets - Aug. 7th, 8:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

So I stopped watching at two nothing.  I figured I couldn't go back after they tied it up.  I figure I am the jinx.  My son had to come in to tell me they won.

I'll start watching the game on Sunday, but the first sign of trouble, I will turn it off.  I swear.

The big 4 come through big tonight: Nylander, Hyman, Tavares, and Matthews.

Hyman?

But point taken.
He was ineffective most of the game but came up big when it counted.

Hyman?s been getting mashed aallll series as the first man in and he gets up and just keeps getting at it. That feed to Matthews got through the vaunted Blue Jackets forcefield and he had the wherewithal to receive the touch pass back and snipe one through.

So.. that is how it feels, eh?

Game 1. Jackets shutout win
Game 2. Leafs shutout win
Game 3. Leafs meltdown after a 3-0 lead
Game 4. Jackets meltdown after 3-0 lead
Game 5. .... oh boy.

That graph is all wrong. Everyone knows when the Leafs are involved in a playoff game, if either team gets a 3 goal lead their chance of winning goes immediately to zero.

Jenner scored, I turned off the TV in disgust. A few minutes later, I decide to check out the enlightened discourse about the loss on Twitter, and in the upper left corner it says 3-3.  I'm like, lol, Twitter is broken.  Then the unfathomable reality set in.

At least I saw OT....

Remember that time Matt Frattin got a breakaway?

Where?s Ceci?s shot?

I never understand these things. So BJs outplayed Toronto because there heat map is all over the place?

That comeback might actually represent the cathartic breakthrough that turns the identity of the Leafs in the playoffs.

Or just extra pain for the fanbase as they string along hopes for 2 days
