PP looks positively invigorated after Marner moves the puck immediately upon touching it*. Quick shots, touch passes. No time for PK to set up on him.

Bertuzzi in net front also opens up a second heavy shot from Tavares in the slot/circles alongside Matthews.

* this means what magic Marner brings to the PP is actually replaceable by someone who just knows there the net is and can put it on quickly. None of the top PPs in the league have a guy holding the puck for extended periods of time looking for seams, unless he also has a snipe.

Teams have come back from 0-2 series start 15% of the time
A 1-1 series start is probably close to 50% chance to win series.
Very big period coming up.
 
Problem for the 3rd here is it's 3-1 PPs for Leafs. They'll be looking to give one to Boston early in the 3rd
