R1, G3: Lightning vs. Maple Leafs - Apr. 22nd, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Lucky break but also the right call under the circumstances.  What a stupid play from Brodie though

Samsonov doesn't look good.  He keeps getting up slow after coming across the crease.  Can't say he isn't battling though

I get that we could say the same thing about Tampa in their game 2 performance but I don't understand how this team goes from competent to completely incompetent in the playoffs like this.
Where have you bean? LOL but yeah I like to say the only thing consistent about this team is their inconstancy. lol

I'll say this, Samsonov doesn't look great but his team is not giving him much of anything.  Lucky to get out of that crappy period down just one.

Well that was honestly close to rivalling period one of game 1.  The Leafs are lucky to be down only one

Somehow managed to get out of that period only 1 behind.

But I still stick to my theory that whoever scored next after the end of the first wins, and that was Tampa. Ugh.

Sammy was kind of dogshit, but the team isnt doing anything to help. A couple of good solo rushes by O'Reilly and Knies, and nothing else. All period long.

Like herman said, Samsonov never saw the go-ahead goal and he got lucky a couple of times but he also made 2 excellent stops early on or this one would be over already.

Leafs are playing not to lose ? as they usually do when the goalie looks less than solid.  When the guy is all over the place in net it really seems to undercut them.

Sure hope Spezza is down in the dressing room putting on his equipment during the second intermission.

I dind't like the second goal from Samsonov at the end of the first but he kept them in this period despite not looking his best.  This is entirely on the skaters.
