Well, pain is coming, followed by eventual elation

Let me just remind you that the corgi hath spoken. And if they are to truly exorcize their demons, it has to be game 7.

The first 2 of 3 games of R1 are when you have to get ready for all kinds of intense forecheck hits.  That's passed.  The games have settled in and aren't much rougher than the regular season.

They absolutely can't stand pat with the lineup, and not just Bunting coming back in.  (I'd pull ZAR for him.)  Sad to say, I kind of hope Gio is banged up from the hit because he needs to come out for at least 1.  I'd roll the dice and go 11/7 with Liljegren coming in, and maybe Gustafsson too, for Gio and/or Holl/Schenn.

Tampa's been the better team 4 of the 5 games.  We need to get out puck-moving game going before it's too late.  Hedman is hurt, as MLHS points out Sergachev is vulnerable.  They need to attack, attack, attack and count on Samsonov to make the needed saves when chances inevitably come back the other way.

100% I think the Leafs should go 11/7 next game. Bring in Gustafsson, Liljegren, and Bunting and takeout Holl, ZAR, and Lafferty. Get some fresh legs on the back end and guys in Lilly and Gustafson that can break out the puck.

Double shift Marner on the 4th line.

I hope Sportsnet apologizes to Knies as they said he was faking it last night...

I missed big parts of the game. Just busy.
And too busy to study it.

Whatever Tampa is doing to upset the Leafs break out, they're giving up something somewhere else.
I'm not as convinced it is personnel.
It feels like it is more systemic.

Whatever it is that Cooper is getting them to do, he's risking something elsewhere to do it - leaving something else exposed. Keefe has to find a way to exploit that.
