Not enough piss and vinegar on the top three lines. This is lines I would like to see

James van Riemsdyk-Tyler Bozak-Phil Kessel
Joffrey Lupul-Nazem Kadri-Nikolai Kulemin
Clarke MacArthur-Mikhail Grabovski-Leo Komarov
McClaren-Jay McClement-Colton Orr

Frattin does not need to be the lineup. Who's expected to play on the blue line tonight for the buds?

EXPECTED LINES FOR LEAFS

James van Riemsdyk-Tyler Bozak-Phil Kessel
Joffrey Lupul-Mikhail Grabovski-Nikolai Kulemin
Clarke MacArthur-Nazem Kadri-Matt Frattin
Leo Komarov-Jay McClement-Colton Orr

I like the look of this.... glad to see that it appears Frattin will find his way into the line-up

Sorry but the fact that Naz could be buried on the third line with two guys who haven't showed much game as of late isn't a great way to start the day. Jesus why would you split him and Lups up after all the chemistry they have? We're gonna need that 2nd line to score after all... give it the best chance for success rather then failure.

I think the logic could be that Lupul and Kadri are both 'spark plugs', so it makes some sense to split them up.  Kadri can get Mac and Frattin going, and Lupul can try to kick-start Grabovski and Kulemin. If it does work and we get 2-3 lines chipping in, we'll have a decent chance in this thing.  If it fails I hope Carlyle is quick to make adjustments (the next game or maybe even during the game).

HS you really don't know what i mean by a "kind bag" or are you just yanking my bruin?

There is no yanking.  Unfortunately, I'm not down with the diggity or whatever youthful expression might apply here.  But I'm gathering it's something that's followed by the munchies.

Only thing I can say for Kadri playing with Frattin is, they would have had time together on the Marlies during the last playoff run, so if they know each other's tendencies hopefully they can work some magic together.  Also being on the 3rd line would draw a lesser checking line against them, hopefully Leafs can expose that and provide some offense from the 3rd line.

I have a really bad feeling about this series, but hopefully Reimer will do well. And hopefully the players will be too inexperienced to get scared of the playoffs=)

Other than the show they put on together in Ottawa, has there really been that much chemistry?

Kadri hasn't been lighting it up since his hat-trick in Ottawa.  He's got 5 points in 12 since then, Grabovski has 2 since then (but Kadri played with Kessel).  If these are the lines, it's just spreading out the skill a bit more to have 3 strong lines.

I'm feeling the energy here. Holy crap I miss living in Toronto. It really is an awesome city and the spirit of its people shine through at a time like this.

GO LEAFS GO!!!

Watching some past Leafs playoff highlights.  Steve Thomas' two goals vs. Ottawa in game 5, 2000: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZVEYrIgp6c

The chances in that OT, talk about nerves.

LOL@myself. tore the house apart, could not find my Leaf car flag. (Haven't needed it for so long it's quite lost)? Detroit one got destroyed last year. I just spent most of the morning going to every sports related store here in Barrie looking for them. Grrr. Nobody had 'em?
and then!
an Epiphany!

Why don't I try Flags Unlimited? You know, the place that MAKES THE DAMN THINGS! Duh!!
Not only do they have the Leafs, they had a replacement RedWings one (for after the Leafs are eliminated) and, new to my vehicle, a Blackhawks one for the right side of the van. Yay! Now I'm ready. (and in big trouble if it's a Blackhawks/Wings series at any time, the kid will kill me)

Frattin - Kadri - Mac

That line was on fire early in the year, it was the line that Frattin really exploded on I believe, Komarov saw some spot duty.

So I guess it's that time of the year when I used to screw up my sleeping patterns ;D

You can only be a Leafs fan.  And the people who are related to you.  If they resist, smite them and withhold their food until they comply.
