R1G5: Leafs @ Bruins - May 10th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Just finished watching PVR game 5. Glad the Leafs are making a series out of this. The more they play and win, the more they'll understand that playoff hockey is where it counts, and its different than regular season.

If Im a Boston fan, I'm ripping pretty hard on Seguin right now. Nothing like a guy who racks up his stats during regular season and disappears for the playoffs. He makes a play or two, looks like he might do something - then quits.

Some excellent saves for James tonight. Playoff goaltending. The right saves at the right times.

As mentioned, Grabbo is tearing it up. No points but he is keeping the Bruins hands full at all times he's on the ice. Hard to believe he hasn't potted a couple yet with that kind of intensity. He is suffering from the same fate as Kessel - driven wide on the rush every time. Grabbos getting more done on the forecheck however and not intimidated at all by physical play.

Just one game to think about right now - game 6. Nothing else matters.

I think they definitely have noticed seguin's lack of production.  on the other hand he's leading their team in shots isn't he?  ..and i think he's definitely come up with some good chances....i have no desire to see him succeed..but i don't know..he seems like one that could break out at any time..hopefully not sunday

That was fun.  Can anyone provide context for that hit?  McQuaid looked like he really had some sand in his privates after that hit.  Was he just angry about being embarrassed, or was something else going on?  They seemed to stop playing, was there a whistle?

It was a very slightly late hit after a whistle.  Not late enough for a penalty, but late enough to tick him off, particularly for how he went down.

Also, McQuaid rocked Kulemin earlier in the shift with a bodycheck so Kuly was getting some payback.

Imagine the brouhaha if the puck had bounced of Kulemin into the net.

Have you guys seen the CT scan of Fraser's noggin?

Ouch.

That is the type of player we need - a robocop/terminator type of guy made of titanium with the face of a ghastly skull.  Perhaps some red glowing eyes too.

Just moved and don't have internet at the new place yet, so just been getting on intermittently at the library, but I hope Reimer steals the game tonight.  I hope he doesn't have to, but I hope he has one of those games.  I think any team in any series needs a game like that from a goalie.  He hasn't been bad by any stretch, I would just like to see that.

Hey thanks Reimer.

I see the patient-stamp at top right but is this legit?  Did Fraser authorize release of a scan?  It sure looks like where he got hit by the puck.

Nobody has confirmed that it's real, and nobody involved in the Leafs media or even blogosphere has even really mentioned it. I'd say it's a fake.

I don't know about in Canada, but here in the states it's just about impossible to get medical info on somebody else from a hospital.  I suspect it's a fake too.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, wasn't he hit over his left eye?  I think this "scan" has it backwards.

if you think it is real ask yourself why can you see threw the nose.

1) Shadow artifact
2) Because there isn't any bone in the given angle

It's a real CT 3D-reconstruction image.  The only question would be whether it is actually Mark Fraser's CT or not.  Given that Mark Fraser wasn't the one who released the image, it's concern if it is actually his medical imaging.  If it isn't, well then it's equally concerning that someone feels the need to fake his medical documentation for no real gain/reason.

I know here in NB, I can have a series of images taken at the hospital placed on CD and sent to my office, happens all the time.  There is no stipulation that these images  be placed under lock and key when they are sent to family doctors/dentists and the CD can be accessed by anybody in the office.  Would be very easy for a dental assistant to tell her boyfriend that she has seen Mark Fraser's images and then for him to convince her to email one to him so he can see it, he then forwards that to his closest buddy and the rest is history.  Having said that it is likely a fake :).

Does Fraser (or any hockey player) have such a perfect set of teeth, never mind have all teeth?
