R2, G6: Panthers vs. Maple Leafs - May 16th, 8:00pm - SN, Fan 590

What a great game. The composure by the Leafs was truly impressive. And the defence limited their mistakes as in previous games by minimizing bad reads or losing puck battles or not covering the front. And it’s great to see bounce back games from Woll and Matthews and even Patches.

Just got in for the last bit of the 3rd period and was surprised to see it 0 - 0. Watching Matthews score and then Patches was fantastic.

From what I saw, the Leafs were the better team.

Sunday will be interesting to say the least. The Leaf players came out and played against the defending Stanley Cup champions, who had easily dismantled TBay, and shut them out in their own barn!

Salming used to take a lot of hits as well. There is almost an art to it and not getting hurt.

There is only one part of a hockey player we can see exposed as a sample of how many places they are hurt. Its the face.

Salming and Tanev got/get hurt all over their body. Their faces reveal that. They just have the heroic perseverance and resilience to keep playing through it.

The play where Domi slid into Bobrovsky. It seems like Bennett was trying to take out Domi (perhaps with his left elbow), and instead hits Bobrovsky in the head with his right elbow.

Is there a slow motion or other angle out there?

See 11:50 of the third period.

He won't fight. He wants you to engage to get you off your game. Ignore him as much as possible.
Game was over and he intentionally stood in the crease to start something. Why couldn’t one of the leafs just give him a shot to the head what would happen? Guys a bloody weasel same as 53. Put them in their place.
