Rangers got whupped by the Penguins tonight.  They will be on back half of B2B so you'd think we'd have the advantage.

I said in the "chunk" thread, this is one of those no excuses must win games.  Rangers played Friday, travel to Toronto and are tired..Leafs have been off since Wednesday, well rested.  Need to thrash them tonight.  Nothing else will do.

Under ordinary circumstances, sure, but, coming out of the Winter Classic, tonight could very much be a let-down game for the Leafs.

Gleason will not play per Carlyle

No surprise. I don't think this is a case of him starting as the 7th defencemen though really. He'll take a few days to learn the system, watch a game from upstairs to see how the team plays live, and the first loss the Leafs suffer Ranger (probably) comes out and Gleason will go in with a very long leash.

No excuses busta!!!

I can't believe this 5-game point-streak has gotten to me, but I'm actually feeling pretty good about the team right now.  I should really know better, but here we are.

GO LEAFS GO!

You and your delightful double standards . . .

Whoa, this GDT seems to be lacking enthusiasm.  No posts in 6 hours ... until MY contribution!  8)

Let down game for Leafs Nation as well.

For sure.  And they are talking about this problem in the pregame.

Leafs lead Rangers in the third by 1 goal. Last 7 mins penalty to Leafs even if no calls all night to that point. Ranger goal shortly after penalty expires....we go to OT solves nothing...Shoot out goes to...*flips coin*...Leafs!

You've been paying close attention this season, I see!

I don't follow the WJCs but what the hell is wrong with Canada in this tourney?  They ought to play for gold most times I would think.

Lol...well I was going to add that if this was at the Rangers arena I could bring it down to 3 mins left in the 3rd for the call...

Its just been lather rinse repeat with this group...for the first time ever im happy for the loser point

as another aside: I used to be perfectly fine with a game ending in a tie after 10 mins of 5-5 OT...all these changes have taken any excitement out of sudden death.
