Rangers @ Leafs - Jan. 4th, 7:00pm - CBC, SN 590

LOL Hughson after Bernier covered up the puck. "Bernier has had enough of this shift". Think he meant s**t.

Lol, colton orr involved in Leafs best chances so far.

Orr actually has some skill, unlike MacLaren.

I actually believe MacLaren is the one who is more skillful

I don't think so.  Orr has better puck handling skills and skates better, IMO.

I wonder if Carlyle will learn that Holland is a better 3rd line option than McClement is next week? He's slow on the learning curve.

I'd rather see Holland back between Lupul and Raymond. That line is severely lacking a defensive conscious, and that's something that Holland can provide. Put Kadri with Kulemin and Clarkson (or whoever replaces him if he's hurt). Give both lines similar ice time. Stick McClement on the 4th line and give him a ton of PK time and very little ES time.

No. McLaren is the better skater and puck-handler. If he gets back to how he played last season instead of the Orr impression he's doing this season, he's the clear choice of the two.

If he does it hasn't translated into much during his career.  Orr only has 13 more career points than McLaren in 357 more games.

I'd give the edge to McLaren.

I kind of wish we had some way of pitching each of Orr and McClaren, and had gotten in on the Konopka waiver.

Makes sense for most of us but hey it's Carlyle. Plays his favourites.

Well, frankly I think we could go without a brawler at all.

That works also, but McClement definitely has to go back to the 4th line. Holland is too good in all facets of the game to be on said 4th line.

Wouldn't have mattered since Buffalo picked him up.

I was just about to say the same thing. I'd rather ditch them both and not have a pure face puncher on the roster.
