He said that he didn?t want to try and use those situations involving teammates for his own gain and recognizes the tight position the organization is in with the salary cap. He also saw October creeping up on the calendar and understood the importance of participating in camp and some exhibition games.

I mean he realized that after Dubas not blinking for 3 months that was just the best offer he was getting. The whole "I'm being a great teammate" thing is basically just cover for fans who look down on players who don't sign before camp.

Yeah, I'm not sure I heard anything about these negotiations over the last two months.

Whining is obviously hyperbolic, but it's Lewis Gross digging in to nothing, and did nothing for Sandin besides project him as not a team player in comparison to Liljegren.
