Nice tidy win. At no point during the 3rd did I have any fear of the Leafs blowing it. Not sure if that is stupidity on my part or the Stolarz effect

Leafs have changed over the past 14 months. I would have worried every game prior to then they would blow the lead but with McCabe and Tanev and Stolarz.... and better back checking I'm feeling comfortable. Plus Holl is gone!

The style is more boring but watching Stolarz is so sweet. He eats those rebounds and is so chill.
 
We've had 8 years of exciting free-wheeling hockey with 1 playoff round victory to show for it. I'm happy to watch some "boring" grind-it-out hockey. Think it is a good sign for what could be in the spring.

ICYMI: Mike Johnson noted on the broadcast that when Tavares took the penalty, he chatted with the scorekeeper and notified them that he did not touch the puck on the first goal.
