It's really time to pull the plug on the red-headed step child, AKA, LeafsTV. At least it is for me. This is a dedicated station for the Leafs organization for crying out loud. They always play second fiddle to another network when it comes to live action. (Even for the rookie games and Marlies action)

I haven't checked, but read somewhere they won't have ANY live Leaf games this season whatsoever? Someone please tell me why us fans should continue to dish out extra $$$ for this damn station??? I can watch all the interviews and replays on the Leaf website.

Rant over...

You are right on RedLeaf, I am cancelling myself, only bought it to pick up the missing TSN/CBC games.  It has lost all relevance.  In the bigger picture I am a big advocate of us being allowed only to pay for the channels we watch. Why are we paying for hundreds of stations that we never look at.  From 1-400 I only watch 4 for the Barrie evening news.
I would retain a lot of the 500 station (minus the Loafs) and most of the Movie channels but not all. Probably all ending up costing the same.
Spent last winter in AZ and the cost of cell phones/Internet and Cable TV a fraction of what we pay to Rogers. What a rip off.

mirtle: Leafs say prospect Rinat Valiev won't be able to participate in the rookie tournament because of an injury.

Forward lines for tonights game, per Paul Hendrick:

Broll-Verhaeghe-Nylander
Watling-Gauthier-Leivo
M.Rupert-R.Rupert-Biggs
Bowles-Findlay-Philip

Loov-Nilsson
Finn-Fraser
Knoedel-Donaghey

Sparks

No Connor Brown tonight, though I'm sure he'll play tomorrow. I was hoping we'd see Nylander line up at centre, oh well. Dineen said tonight might be the only game Nylander plays in (since he'll likely be getting a lot of action in during the Leafs preseason).

Thanks, didn't realize that it was on rogers so I actually get it. I was confused because Leafs TV had the pre-game and then switched to a "Classic game" from a season where the Leafs missed the playoffs.

Classic indeed.......

Wonder Willie missed on breakaway (lost handle on the puck), but he looks good so far. So does Verhage and Leivo

His skill and vision are very apparent, but, I feel like he'll need to get a little stronger before he gets a full-time NHL gig.

Gauthier reminds me of Bobby Holik/Keith Primeau defensively and his skating is much improved.

Leivo looks like a man amongst boys out there.

Nilsson, Finn, Knoedel and Loov have looked good.

Nylander and Carter look slick but a little off physically.
