Round 1: (A1) Boston vs. (W2) Detroit

Quenville was fined a healthy sum for grabbing his crotch. Lucic did so much worse and he could have seriously injured the guy. To top it off, he does this regularly.

FriedgeHNIC: Comparing Quenneville's fine to Lucic: players have a CBA, coaches don't. That's the difference. Drives coaches crazy.

That is so messed up. Coaches make much less than players. They get fined more and they lose their jobs regularly. Nice league we got here.

Bob McKenzie or Darren Dreger said earlier this season that typically when coaches get fined they get the money back later on if they don't get into trouble again. And generally that money gets paid by the team/owner anyway.

Still, giving $25k to Quennville for that and Lucic $5k is a joke. But everybody knows that already.

4-1 Bruins over Red Wings.  Series tied at one apiece.

Boston's physical plus using Chara in front of the net were too much for the Red Wings to handle.  Even without some of  their regulars in the the lineup, others took up the slack, namely Justin Ftorek and Reilly Smith, who scored early on, giving Boston a lead they never relinquished.

Even professional Pool player Lucy scored. Ugh.

Boston 3  Detroit 0.  Bruins lead series 2 games to 1.

Boston's goaltender Tukka Rask was "stellar".
Detroit's Howard not so much.  Pretry well sums up the match.

Every bone in my body despises the Bruins. I am not a bit ashamed to say I will root for the Canadiens to beat the Bruins.. Sick and tired of every Bruin

You've got a fan here.  I'm with you.  :)

Bruins went up 2-0 in the first then basically closed the gates. One man deep and four stayed back at the blue line - the whole f-ing game.

This made my day

Julien: "We've built our team a certain way, want players to be two-way players. Players who don't play two-way game don't last long with us."

Unfortunately he went on to finish by saying that guys who engage in orchiectomies are A-OK in his books.
