Yeah, but do you want him to develop those deep and lasting bonds of friendship that can only come through winning a championship with his Tampa teammates? It's a double edged sword, I tells ya.

That is a good point. We have a conundrum. Let's form a subcommittee to discuss this.
CarltonTheBear said:We need Tampa to win the Cup with Johnson scoring the winning goal in the dying seconds of the 3rd period (and winning the Conn Smyth) with Stamkos sitting on the bench. That way he'll be even hungrier to win a second Cup but he'll want to be the one leading the charge that time.
Heroic Shrimp said:I think an alternative possibility is that Tampa could go to Game 7 of the Cup finals, hold a 4-0 lead in the 3rd period, and then Stamkos gives away the puck for goals 4 times in the 3rd, then once again in overtime for good measure. He gets run out of Tampa to our welcoming arms.
Comes to Toronto? Check.
Hungry for a Cup? Double-check.
Chokes in big games? Well, we'll work on that.

I like it, but I still think Johnson needs to be the one who wins it in OT. After Cooper rips the C off Stamkos' jersey mid game Mighty Ducks-style and puts it on Johnson. That'll cause a rift in the lockerroom, and Yzerman won't get rid of a Stanley Cup winning coach or a Conn Smyth winner for Stamkos.

"King" Henrik is also 9-1 in that aspect in this year's playoffs.

I have no idea what this is trying to say. Lundqvist isn't 9-1 in this year's playoffs and he's not 9-1 this year while facing elimination. If he were 9-1 facing elimination, they'd have been eliminated.

I'm sorry, but I gotta ask, hockeyfan1: how do you keep getting details wrong when you're pulling from sources like TSN.ca, NHL.com, Sportsnet, etc.
