Sportclubstats.com.  Odds of making playoffs should be up to 24.9%

Really? It's still that low?

How is it calculated? Just based on a historical estimate of points needed, or does it actually include parity among the teams fighting for the wild card?

It's based on scenarios for every possible record from here to the end of the season for all teams.

A video of the Moulson goal - from above it doesn't looking but it kind of does from the side, though is all the puck over the line?

Those angles look to me like it didn't go in.

I'm amazed they didn't even review it

Did anyone even question it before the puck dropped afterwords?

That should NOT have been a goal. Unbelievable!

Is that what people think, Franson worth a 2nd? I don't know, I'm asking, but I'd think more.

Maybe a little bit, but probably not a significant amount. They might be able to get a later round pick or an okay prospect included. Unless there's a team out there that really really wants him, that's about what he's worth. He's a PP specialist who doesn't skate well and has some serious issues on the defensive side of the puck.

That's fair, I don't think he's worth a first or anything but a 2nd just seemed a bit low.

Yeah I just don't think he's worth a 1st on his own really. Player wise you'd maybe get a third liner?

Anywho,
@AHLPR: With 4 points at Iowa tonight (including GWG in OT), @TorontoMarlies defenseman T.J. Brennan has 30-42-72 in his last 72 @TheAHL games

Yeah. The overhead the showed in the 2nd intermission made it look like the puck was just barely in behind the crossbar. It crossed the line completely for a fraction of a second.

Yeah, I'd like to see Brennan at the NHL level to see how he fares.

Me too, weird.

Man, Moulson owns the Leafs so bad he breaks the laws of physics by bulging the twine without even putting the puck in the net.

It's called 'Moulson's entanglment' and it also redefines sucking and blowing...

I just don't get why, with a 4 on 3 in OT, you'd go with 2 forwards and 2 defensemen and have those two defensemen be Franson and Phaneuf.

I think you, me, and 2badknees are in agreement.

Because when they tried it with just Gardiner they sucked

I don't agree. Sure he made a bad decision on his initial entry but I think soon after they set up their best chance on the whole PP by getting it low to JVR.

I'm not liking Phaneuf and Franson together on the PP either, especially in an OT situation.

To be honest I would of preferred Dion and Gardiner for the first min and Franson and Reilly on the second

All those years of shootout frustration is being righted this year.

You're not kidding.

For the record, however, SOs still suck.

I like finally being able to hate shootouts without others suggesting to me I hate them because the Leafs stink at them.

I hate them, but I confess I no longer dread them.

That could be two games where the Leafs scored more goals than the opposition in regulation that they didn't get ROW's for. With that disallowed goal the other night. This one is inconclusive of course, but I don't think it went in.

I've liked Gleason's game so far. I was expecting some kind of a pylon based on observations that were posted here but imo I feel he's played well.
