Sabres @ Leafs - Nov. 30th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Really enjoyed Hrudey struggling during that intermission to find reasons to roast Nylander but failing miserably.

Not going to complain about how we got it. As much as they hemmed us in in the third we had a much bigger shot share and for every Freddie save we relied on they relied on just as much from Hutton. Matthews was a half second away from that puck crossing the line.

Happy to see JT out there and get the goal and man is Kapanen slippery or what??

Kappy is def slippery. Liked Mikheyev game also. Matthews had some very good moments. Deg our best offensive line. Willy has been cooking. Would still like to see them try someone else on left wing.

The way Matthews played on the O zone in the 3rd is the way he needs to play on a far far more consistent basis. He was outstanding in the 3rd.

Maybe it's time to try a different left winger.

Nice win, thank you to Freddie.

Willy is just flying, and when he does he seems unstoppable.

At the very least, this win was badly needed and having Andersen in net bolsters the team?s confidence in every way.  Seeing Freddie make those saves, his consistency, and his ability to keep his team in the game.
Sadly, he is all the consistency we seem to have right now in net.

As for the back-up Hutchinson, he inspires zero confidence.  Unless Hutchinson can come up with a clutch performance or two, it?s doubtful the team can win with him in net (unless the Leafs create a fortress in front of him).

Let?s enjoy the victory.
