I agree. Missed the first but judging by some comments seems like same reoccurring theme.

I'm not even convinced that the team can't do it. It's just how they do it. They do a lot of cross ice dump ins and hard dumps while in the middle of partial lien changes so they don't have numbers to overwhelm on the forecheck.

It's reminding me of when Boston would just make the Leafs look stupid clogging the neutral zone until the Leafs started doing high passes to force Boston back and allowed the Leafs to attack with more speed.

Right now the Leafs are playing a slow style of hockey and it's leading to low offensive output because they can't get on top of the defenders
