What a great pass by Marner and great work by Knies.

This is the conundrum with 16. Magnificent set up guy and getting better at scoring (certainly not bad now) and good PKer. Only issue is playoff grit and the fact he?s the odd man out if they decide to go that route. Of course they won?t get anything for him other than cap space and maybe a low round rights pick prior to July 1. I hope they keep him.

They have to.  No way will they become a better playoff team if they lose him under those circumstances.  Just like Nylander, you don't give up on skill like that, especially players in their prime.

Yet there comes a time when you have to look at the big picture. Can you build a more rounded team by letting someone go. Or you wait till Tavares is gone. It hasn?t worked till now so the question is how long do you prolong the disappointments?
