Nope, it opens a browser like it is going to, but it never goes to Twitter, I'd imagine because the blue hyperlink is just a series of numbers, not a complete address. 

You have to basically try and open this site in a browser and search the thread to try and find the post containing the tweet to see it. As you can imagine, that can be tough given the volume of activity at times.
