The 2013/'14 Season NFL Thread

Browns not waiting until Black Monday, fire Rob Chudzinski tonight after just 1 season.

It was Monday somewhere. That was the tip of the iceberg as 4 more coaches have been sacked so far today. Leslie Fraser in Minny, Mike Shanahan in Washington, Greg Schiano in Tampa and Jim Schwartz in Detroit. Also sacked was the Tampa GM.

Man, what a play by Richard Sherman there to seal it for the Seahawks. Should be a heck of a Super Bowl.

Denver Broncos, er, make that Broncos quarterback the incredible Peyton Manning, defeated Tom (Terrific) Brady & the New England Patriots 26-16, in the AFC Conference championship.

Brady came up short for the comeback, while Manning's 32 completions tied a Conference championship record.

Now, on the Broncos go to the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks, who disposed of the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Conference championship, by a score of 27-13.

Super Bowl is set for February 7th 2nd at the Meadowlands.

See his comments after the game? I guess Crabtree was doing some trash talking.

Well the Super Bowl is all but over. It was over at the 10 min mark in the first quarter. Its just yawn from here on now. Complete and utter domination by the Seahawks.

Final score:  Seahawks 43  Broncos 8.

Broncos'  quarterback Peyton Manning threw 34/49 for 280 yards and the lone touchdown for Denver, including two interceptions.  Manning was helpless and his receivers moreso, in a sea of Seahawk arms.

On the other side, Seattle's quarterback Russell Wilson threw
two touchdowns while leading his team in the offensive
department.  His Seahawks played with a purpose and it showed.

It may be surprising, shocking even,to Broncos fans to have seen Denver 'implode'  in the most important game of their entire successful season, but to Seattle fans there was never any doubt that the Seahawks couldn't win the big
one.
