We'll have to agree to disagree here, Busta. Maybe (maybe) Bourque is the "safer" player but I'm 100% convinced Cammalleri is the better one.

Potvin29 said:I would have figured they could do better than basically a bigger version of Cammalleri who's slighty older and doesn't have the recent playoff performances.

Jacques Martin and JFJ were on TSN's list.

LOL and so was Pierre McGuire.

Best coach for the Lightning: Randy Cunneyworth -- no need for the French language, can incorporate a good defensive system for the Lightning which will complement their offence, far less pressure to deal with (no Montreal media), etc.
The idea of trading places? Exactly. It's been done before...

It?s not as though trading a coach hasn?t happened before. You?ll recall back in 1987, the Quebec Nordiques received a first round pick and $75,000 as compensation for the New York Rangers hiring Michel Bergeron. And in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders received four draft picks and $8 million dollars from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Jon Gruden.
..the Canadiens would get a coach in Boucher who would not only fill the French-language requirement, but would also be familiar with the organization, since he led the Canadiens? American League affiliate in Hamilton to a conference final in 2010 before being scooped up by the Lightning.
Tampa, meanwhile, would get a coach who has a solid reputation and would likely have some success under less suffocating circumstances.

Does a "jynx" count if they're in separate threads?

Speaking of jinxes, it was hilarious last night. When the 3rd period started, Gord Miller starting to mention Price was looking for a shutout, then went on to say that last week he received alot of email from angry Leafs fans saying he "jinxed" Gustavsson's shutout bid by mentioning it on air. He then went on to explain that Price could not hear him, and that he, Gord Miller had no effect on whether or not he gets a shutout. Exactly 5 seconds after saying this, Detroit broke the shutout. They both started laughing in the booth, and I was rolling with laughter.
