The Leo Komarov Question

http://www.theplayerstribune.com/leo-komarov-maple-leafs-what-the-blank-nhl-all-star-edition/

Uncle Leo is the best.
Uncle Leo both loves and fears Dion Phaneuf.
All Uncle Leo does is win (win, win...).

Leo's having a career year, he can and is scoring above what should be expected and he's been doing it basically all year, he also still has his normal ton of intangibles.

Is it probable that a career year can continue into the playoffs, I think so. If a team like the Rangers, Islanders or any team that thinks it's close, figures it needs the depth, quality depth, they're going to have to and should pay for Leo's services.

Winnik was worth a 2nd and 4th last year, wow, and this was a player TO picked up from the garbage heap of UFAs last year, nobody else thought he was worth anything, TO might have overpaid him at 1.3 mil, last year.

What's more important, a Stanley Cup or a low #1 draft choice, I think it's a Cup, I would hope that if TO was close they would address their issues that would/could put them over the top.

Arizona received a 1st plus Dalhbeck for Vermette last year and I think Koma is better so TO should receive more, Koma can also play center.

Trade high for sure! I would bet money that he is at max value right now. Third line checker to all star is not likely sustainable.
