Yeah, I mean Froese played ok for his first two games in the league but if all we're talking about is faceoffs and 'compete' then I think this is more about lighting a fire under Holland and a few other players than it is about Byron actually blowing anyone's socks off.

I'd say that's accurate. Froese definitely tries hard (he has to at his talent level), and is by all accounts super coachable and receptive to instruction.
 
Agreed both Rielly and Kadri seem to be stepping into mens shoes this season, so much promise for the future.  What is nice is the effort level is there, the goaltending has been more like goat tending

Bernier. Say what you want but he made some nice saves and kept them in it for a stretch which, while not much, is significantly more positive than anything I can say about anyone else.

MotM: Hunwick, easily the best of the D and the best on the ice for whatever that's worth.  Helped shut down the big guns.
HM: Yeah, I suppose Kadri is as good a choice as any.
