I just don't get the national fascination with Tim Horton's. Why wait in line for 20 minutes for bad coffee when you can make better coffee at home in half the time for a fraction of the price?
Potvin29 said:Oh, and my complaint is people who complain about meteorologists getting the forecast wrong. It's not a guarantee and it never has been! They can't control the weather. If you don't think they are accurate, don't read it and go figure it out yourself
Which is funny because there was an article in one of the papers recently about a book where the author researched how often 'experts' on different subjects were correct with predictions, and the ones they found the most accurate were weather forecasters.

Then I guess you've never been to one in Waterloo. I visit 2 locations and there are times when the line is long enough to make me turn around and leave. Then again a line of 10 at one of them is long enough to be out the doors.

Nope, the one in Uptown Waterloo. University was like that but they rearranged the line. It takes 20 there to be out the door now Still happens sometimes with Laurier across the street, but Uptown is the worst.

The drawback to Monoprice, and the reason shops still get my money, is the time factor. When I need a cable, I typically need it now. Not a week from now. And unless you're buying several items, the shipping costs alone eat into a significant portion of any savings.
That said, if you plan ahead, or can afford to wait, they really do have good prices.
Bullfrog said:$2.50 for an HDMI cable at monoprice with a comparable cable for $60+ at futureshop? I'm willing to wait a few days.
