The Walking Dead (S6)

Like I said, they likely would have shot it both ways during principle shooting and pick up shots and re-edits are always an option.

But you are certainly free to believe what you like.

We're talking about re-writing, re-shooting and re-editing half a season. It's not about what I believe here. The amount of effort and added expenses required to make the theory plausible is beyond what comes close to passing the smell test.

Morgan leaves Carol unattended, and is then surprised when she takes off? Then he rides off on his horse* in a completely random direction to find her.

*-We're all in agreement that there's no way there'd still be a random horse walking around healthy at this point in the game, right?

edit: Well they explained the horse.

The point from when they were finally captured to 5 seconds before it ended was terrific. Hopefully we see plenty of Negan next season, because Jeffrey Dean Morgan is fantastic. Still can't believe they didn't show it.

I think the fact that Negan said "taking it like a champ" leads me to think it's down to 3 possibilities: Abraham, Michonne, and Daryl. And I think that Abraham sorta offering himself earlier would take him out of the equation.

I don't think Abraham's in the equation. I had down to 4 - Glenn, Maggie, Michonne, and Daryl. I'm not sure the show would go as far as to kill the pregnant woman, but they've killed enough children, so I can't rule it out. It's been 'confirmed' that a "beloved" character is the one of the receiving end, and, other than Rick and Carl - who, based on the dialogue during the beatdown, we can probably safely assume are still alive - those four are the only ones I'd consider "beloved."

There was a video posted that had enhanced audio in which you can hear Maggie scream "Glenn!!!" and then you can hear a woozy Glen say "Maggie".  Could be the studio screwing with people though.

Also, who thinks that Maggie's baby has died, and what does that mean for this show?

I thought I heard somewhere that Negan himself refuses to kill women.. Might have been in comic book...Id have to say it is between Darryl and Abraham.. not sure Abraham though is a big enough character to cause such a stir?

Yeah, I saw that too. Definitely makes it sound like it's Glenn, but man if they hid it that clearly like that I'd probably be even more upset than I was before. Like why bother at that point?

True.  On the talking dead after the episode, Robert Kirkman said that there were definite clues to figuring out who was killed.  If that was the definite clue that he was talking about that does seem a bit weak.

Part of me wonders if they're just messing with fans of the comics, and making them second guess things and such.

To me, it's down to either Glenn or Daryl.

I don't read the comics, but have spoken to people who have. I won't say any more in case I spoil what actually happens in the comics, but these two are logical for different reasons.

Do people actually like Glenn that much? He never really did anything for me, kind of a boring character. Not the fault of the actor or anything, the show made him a boring character. I felt like when he "died" earlier the outrage was more about the fact that the show left it open-ended.

Basically what I'm saying is that Glenn definitely feels like the "safe" choice for killing a long-time cast member.

Well, I think that's part of it. He's such a milquetoast character that there doesn't seem to be any real purpose to offing him. Of all the major characters involved in this scenario, he's probably the most harmless. For everyone else, you can make an argument that killing them is strategic decision, whereas killing Glenn would really just reinforce how brutal and sadistic Negan is.

The slowed down audio from that final scene.

Apparently none of the actors have been told yet, so believe this for what it's worth.

But I think it would also be an interesting trigger point for what's to come for Maggie.

True. It would also be great motivation for what's to come for Rick and how that impacts the bigger picture.  If they follow the comics at all - which they seem to be doing for the larger plot points - we're due for another season of slow building to a really explosive conclusion, and it works better with Negan being portrayed in the most sadistic and cruel way possible.

Just an FYI, this line is taken straight out of the comics - so, not necessarily referential to the victim on the show.
