So looks like 18 year old me is going to be really disappointed with 35 year old me and my lack of partaking in his dream:

So, you're not going to go out a buy a pack of joints for the weekend? Yeah, me neither.

You know, I probably will go buy some once I'm able to just so I can say I did after thinking it'd never come to pass but I can't see myself actually indulging.

You're both going to be habitual users within a month.  ;D

I think it's become impossible not to conclude that Chevrolet's target market in TV ads is extremely boring white people.

Pffft, if that were true why would they buy so much ad time during hockey games?

Wait a second...

On the bright side there's an outside chance that the results in the UK election might be hilarious.

Exit polls showing that the Conservative party, who decided to call the election 3 years early have managed to actually lose their majority.

I hope so. And I would laugh. A lot.

I read that, if the exit polls are right, in order to stay in power they'd probably rely on the support of the UUP MPs while Labour might try to work something out with Sinn Fein.

Either way it could be nutty.

Equally, if the polls are right Labour/Lib Dem/Scottish National Party/Green and SDLP could form a coalition with more seats than Conservative and DUP or UUP.

Which would be hilarious.

Labour couldn't work anything out with Sinn  Fein as they refuse to take their seats in British parliament

I'm not really paying too much attention to this first exit poll, while it's been fairly accurate historically, it comes with a 50 seat margin of error and there is expected to be at least a 6% increase in turnout of which the majority appear to be young voters.

In Scotland according to this exit poll, SNP could have as little as 21 seats and as many as 50, the sample isn't strong enough.

Turns out the exit poll was rather accurate (and highly amusingly so). Delighted to see the Conservatives and May getting a well deserved shoeing.

From a local Northern Ireland point of view very disappointed. The entire middle ground has been wiped out and it is now entirely a polarised extremist sectarian head count with half going for the extreme protestant/unionist party and just under half going for the extreme catholic/nationalist party despite both being responsible for ruining the local devolved assembly and being unable to actually set up a parliament.

I feel we may see another UK general election and a 3rd Northern Ireland assembly election within the space of just over a year.

Seems May is going to meet the Queen at 12.30 to seek permission to form her government, which will likely be an agreement with the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland that will take them JUST over the line for the required number of seats.

The DUP make the Tories look progressive with their anti same sex marriage, anti abortion in any circumstance, pro "Hard Brexit" (despite the fact leaving the EU potentially increases the likelihood of a united Ireland border poll and the fact NI voted by a majority to remain) and their belief that the earth is only around 4000 years old and dinosaurs and humans co-existed.

It's mostly a breath of relief to see that someone who campaigned on no-platform other than terrorists and criminals = bad, all while cutting front line policing lost her majority.  May is that special kind of idiot in that she fell up into the position largely because the top Brexit people were actually quite lazy and knew that they weren't capable of running a government.

It also feels like there's something delightfully British about the way this election turned out. On top of everything else, they punished her for her hubris - like, a working majority is not enough for you? We can't have you thinking that way!

Conservatives screwing themselves is always good to see, but there were good signs on the other side too.

I was pleased to see that the turnout among the young was ~72%, the UKIP vote didn't swing entirely to the Conservatives but was split pretty evenly between them and Labour, the rightwing tabloid press's ability to control politics was challenged, and the left party made its biggest gains since 1945.

Interesting summary/analysis of Theresa May's cock up

So that Dellen Millard guy is real piece of S@%T isn't he? Convicted murderer representing himself in court questioning the father of the murdered daughter, "Are you nervous?, I noticed your shaking".

Text messages read in court: "First I'm going to hurt her, then I'll make her leave. I will remove her from our lives." and "BBQ is ready for meat".

For whatever reason I am vested into this guys run of terror. I guess I related to Tom Bosma. I am similar in age, with young kids, and use Kijiji. Hopefully all victims families involved get some closure soon.

Hey, remember thinking that the world has been just too predictable and stable the last 18 months? Remember thinking, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if Spain had another go at a civil war?"

Yeah, me neither.
