Western Conference final: (3) Phoenix Coyotes vs. (8) Los Angeles Kings

Should be another good one... Just a fantastic goaltending match-up. I have reasons for wanting either team to win but simply from a pool perspective, I'm pulling for the Coyotes in this one. However, while I'm hoping for for them to win this one, I'm still a doubter. - Kings in 6.

Man, this one is a toss up. Phoenix has done a better jobs taking advantage of their scoring chances, though, so, Yotes in 7.

My heart is with the Yotes. But from the way the Kings disposed of the top two seeds in their conference, losing only one game in the two series, I'd have to give the edge to the Kings.

The next time someone complains about a goalie looking small in net, I'd point them in direction of Johnathan Quick, who looks absolutely tiny most of the time but consistently comes up huge.

Kings win 4-2, last goal an empty-netter by Dwight King.  L.A. has yet to lose a game on the road in these playoffs.  L.A. outshot Phienix 48-27.

Game #2 is Tuesday in Phoenix.

Smith's run is over.  I see a sweepstakes.

I wouldn't count the 'yotes out yet.  It was a close game until that empty-netter.  I expect Phoenix to make a more concerted effort in the next game.

More shots from centre ice, since they appear to work?  :P

If Darryl Sutter ends up winning the cup with the Kings, Flames fans are going to assplode all over the place.

Not to mention Flyer fans watching Carter and Richards hoist the Cup the season after they traded them.

Well, in that case, go Kings!

The two Flyers fans I know are both cheering for the Kings because they still love Richards and wish he was never traded, so that kinda ruins this whole angle for me.
