Wild @ Leafs - Jan. 3rd, 2:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

Back to back home losses against two crap teams after winning 5 in a row.  Bruins now breathing down the leafs neck and looking to steal home ice advantage.  Up 2-0 and find a way to lose.  Ugly.

Powerplay with another dud.

Matthews with the no look drop pass to nobody. What is going on with him?

He needs to be dropped in the lineup.  Looks absolutely lost.  Worst yet, he is playing extremely lazy.

I'm going to give JT the HM just for winning about a dozen faceoffs in a row.  He gave the team a chance.

It hurts my eyes to watch horrible games like that and I had the "chance" to watch last two. Won't do that again for some months and maybe never again. I am quite used to watch shitty Leafs teams and I am fooled by the hype and hope again and again. Not anymore. Time to learn from past mistakes.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. Instead of having Nylander and Johnsson as wingers he gets Kapanen and Brown? Move him to the 4th line?

4th line. Just like marner last year.

I didn't watch the game, but judging by the comments, it looks like the Leafs stunk the joint.

Maybe all the Christmas goodies got to them...

It's a good experiment worth trying, if it can shake things up for Matthews.

So you're going to separate him from Nylander -- after he finally gets his first goal -- because he's had a couple of non-elite games?

You literally watched the worst 2 games of the season.

Yeah, I'm thinking there are a lot of people here who would be much happier following one of those Hockey teams that never has bad games.

They also outshot Minny 19-4 in the 3rd. I'm not giving any awards for it but this was hardly one of their worst games.
