The Leafs are exactly like the Oilers. Top heavy, crap bottom six, suspect D and until we had Stolarz mediocre goaltending. Only difference is McDavid shows up each game and can carry a team especially in the playoffs. When they don't the result is usually a loss. We are no different but our stars are too inconsistent. Too many nights off for me. People are mentioning Dewar, Jarnkrok doesn't matter they wont help. Team needs a new identity plain and simple in my opinion and it should have happened already. Unfortunately Tre is screwed until some of these contracts are done.

Matthews needs to shoot the flipping puck

. They were looking for the pass down low to front of the net and because the Leafs did nothing to get the defenders moving it was easy to cover Tavares and Knies in front of the net.

It's like they have a plan to do one specific move and if it isn't there they freeze as if they can't adapt

They are laboring to play a different style than they have. I think that's the long and short of it. None of their offense is organic, so to speak. It's forced, it just doesn't "happen."

There was a delay as the cameras were checking for the kick (kicked into Tavares’ stick), so that’s probably why L1 was up.
