Well if the world really is gonna end on Dec 21, 2012, I want a Stanley Cup for the Leafs.  We'll most likely be blamed for bringing about the end of course, but it'll be worth it.

I think a playoff spot is a given for a christmas wish, but I'd also really love to see Kessel finish in the top five in points, top three if possible.

Oh, and one of our goalies to truly establish himself as a no.1.

Pens want to dump the salary of a concussed Sidney Crosby, but Burke says the Leafs are only willing to take it on if Pens throw in a 1st round pick. Leafs give Pens, Bret Lebda and Robert Slaney, reobtained in three-way deal with Nashville for Jeff Finger and the rights to Aki Berg. Crosby miraculously recovers...

PS: Accidentally, during the deal. The Dupuises get confused and mistakenly swap teams as well.

what would you pick? world peace or the stanley cup?

I was always figured that a Leafs Cup win would bring about world peace.

I told my wife about this question and she said she would prefer world peace.  She said we were nuts if we preferred the Leafs winning the cup over world peace.  I replied I would prefer the Leafs to win the cup over world peace and she said I was nuts too.  But at least I have my priorities straight and I know what is really important. 

Screw world peace and bring on Armageddon, as long as it means there's a Stanley Cup parade going down Yonge St.

Life is pretty great right now, so I don't want anything personal, my wish would be for the Leafs to make the playoffs, Jets as well, the Leafs higher then the Jets though and no chance they meet in the playoffs until the east final.

Well, as long as we're asking what we want, I think the the Leafs could use a nasty, smelly power forward in the Lucic/Byfuglien mold. Someone who can play in the top 6 and make the opposition sick that they have to go out against him.

A veteran who still has something left in the tank would also be a useful piece.

For now though, going into the holidays, I'll take the 2 game winning streak. Merry Christmas everyone.

How do we know that a Leafs Cup win wouldn't lead to world peace?  It could give people a reason to believe in the possibility of world peace along the lines of "If the Leafs can win the cup, then maybe I can learn to not shoot at you".
