2 Boston Bruins vs 7 Washington Capitals

Backstrom is healthy and I really want Boston to lose. It's really all up to Tim Thomas.

Prolly won't happen but Caps in 6.

Washington was probably better suited to face the Rangers.  Boston (Chara) is going to grind Ovechkin down.  Boston holds a huge advantage in the net, particularly if Vokoun is a no-go.

Boston in 5.

Caps just squeaked into the playoffs, but the Bruins were pretty ordinary over the second half of the season. This one will be tighter than people think, and I think I smell an upset.

Caps in 7.

Go Boston!

Boston in 6 or 7.  Bruins have home-ice here.  Might prove advantageous.  The question of course on everyone's mind:  Is Boston a repeat for Lord Stanley's Cup?  That depends, since only one team has won back-to-back Cups, and that team is the Red Wings.

The Caps with Ovie back to being Ovie will not go down without a fight, so to speak.  This series may very well be decided by the goaltending sitiuation -- Thomas for the Bruins, and Nievurth or Holtby, or whomever for Washington, with consistency being the key.

I took the Bruins but man, I hope you're right.

Ovechkin was rather ordinary in the regular season.  Let's see if he has that extra gear to elevate his play that will carry the Capitals.  A lot of fans/observers are waiting to see it.

He turned it on late in the season - 12 goals in his final 16 games.

I'd love nothing more than to see Ovechkin "come to life" in the play-offs and light up Tim Thomas like a Christmas Tree to lead Washington to an upset victory.  I can't see it happening though, especially if Washington is down to Holtby in goal, which I think I remember reading somewhere.

I have Rogers. It says this game is on CBC. What channel is it on? The Senators/Rangers game is also on.
