2011 NFL thread

Buffalo and Detroit start the season 3-0. I wouldn't have called that.

Definitely not Buff, but I thought this season or next...you would see the start of a dynasty-like franchise in Detroit. That d-line is frightening, Stafford is great, and Megatron is a top 3 receiver in the league.

Finally the losing streak is over!!

I was at the game and it was awesome!!!
I kind of had this feeling all week that this might be the game the streak ended, but for it to actually happen is fantastic!
It wasn't looking good at 21-0, but the team and the fans never gave up and the 2nd half the building was rocking!!!
I still haven't got my voice back from screaming!
We needed this one if for anything else to shut people up who would say "same old Bills" after another loss to the Pats.  ::)

Happy for the Bills that they're off to such a good start.  It could lead them to great things this year, if they keep up the effort.

Detroit wins again, 34-30! Romo literally threw this one away after Dallas was up 27-3.

Also, Philly blew a 23-3 lead and lost to San Francisco. Bills lose their first 23-20 after being up 17-3 at the half.

Best defence in the league? I think so. 34-17...B-more's defence scored 21 pts (2 fumble recoveries for a TD and a INT returned for a TD) and gave up 3 (the other 14 were a KR TD and a INT TD).

It was like both teams were working to keep their offences OFF the field cuz they were so bad.

Madonna is in talks to be the Superbowl Half-Time Show.  Seriously?  That's the best you can come up with is acts that aren't relevant anymore?  Not that it really matters anyway but yeah.

Last year's Super Bowl performance by the Black Eyed Peas was 'electric'.

If Madonna can put on quite a show (without being controversial) and be appealing even to the 'older' crowd, for a performer of her age group, it would be nothng short of phenomenal.

When has the Super Bowl half-time show ever been about acts that were currently relevant? I mean Prince, the Who, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and on and on.

This is true, it wasn't accoustic. Whether or not that's a positive in this situation is debatable.

Madonna is 53 years old. The older crowd is her age group.

No more Hank Williams Jr. on Monday Night Football.

Hank Williams Jr. off MNF

Bit of a shame as it's been the MNF theme for as long as I've watched MNF. That said, well, there's only so much stupid ESPN should deal with.
