Harbaugh v Harbaugh in the bowl!

Dunno why Vegas had the Saints favoured going into the #2 seed's home stadium. San Fran should've won, and they did.

Baltimore is pretty much built to beat Brady. Run, play good defence. Keep the ball out of Tom's hand for as long as possible. As long as Flacco doesn't throw like 11 INTs I think they've got a legit shot. Beat them last year in Foxborough too if I remember right.

Man, I sure wish God would finally choose a football team to root for once and for all. I mean, it seems like every Sunday a different team is the beneficiary of divine intervention.

Well, God decided that Tebow and the Denver Broncos were not good enough, therefore... no divine intervention for them!  ;D

Wow, looks like the Ravens lose - Cundiff missed a 32-yard FG - wow, that's a choke - that game should have been going to OT...

Game should have been over. Refs called back a clean pick that took 3 points off the board. Refs called back a TD pass calling it incomplete and didn't go up top to review. He definitely had possession for a good amount of time before it got knocked out.

Nobody talk to me right now.

All defensive football drives me nuts. 10-7? Bah.

This is why I would have preferred a 45-41 game between Green Bay and New Orleans.

However, there is still the chance that this game could get interesting, but I doubt it.

I'm not a fan of a 45-41 track meet. I like to see some effort out of the defense. This game is interesting now, tied at 17 and both teams racking up some plays, just not any sustained drives.

Going to OT now.

Patriots QB Tom Brady tied Joe Montana's record of 18 post-season appearances.

The Patriots wore a patch on their jerseys, MK1, having dedicated the season to Myra Kraft, the late wife of Pats owner Robert Kraft.

This will be  the Patriots 7th Super Bowl appearance, one less shy of Pittsburgh and Dallas.

The QB-coach duo of Brady and Belichick is the first to accomplish the feat of 5 Conference championship appearances.

New York Giants 20-17 OT victory over the 49ers on Lawrence Tynes' 3 point FG.

This is the Giants 5th consecutive winning playoff road game.

Manning vs Brady.  Giants vs Patriots.
Super Bowl Sunday is Feb. 5th.  The last time these two teams met was 2008, when the Giants defeated the Patriots in that year's Super Bowl.

This time, it's going to be different!

GO BRADY!!  GO PATS!!

What a disappointment for Tom Brady fans!  Really thought the Patriots were going to win this Super Bowl rematch against the Giants.  Looked more like the Pats receivers couldn't catch a flying disc!

Congrars to Eli Manning and his well-earned victory!

Giants quarterback Eli Manning won his second MVP ina Super Bowl appearance (tying New England's quarterback Tom Brady also with two).

The Patriots Tom Brady failed to win a fourth Super Bowl, and thus, failing to tie an NFL record shared by Pittsburgh Steelers Terry
Bradshaw and San Francisco's Joe Montana.

It was also a record fifth Super Bowl appearance for Pats coach Bill Belichick and his quarterback Brady.

The Giants have won four Super Bowl championships, third only to the Pittsburgh Steelers with six, and the Dallas Cowboys with five.

Manning threw a record 15 fourth -quarter touchdown passes.

Nice of Sportsnet to forget the 49ers with 5 Super Bowls, and tied with the Green Bay Packers with 4 each.

And these reports/columns always leave my head scratching, as why the first 50+ years of the NFL and its championships never get mentioned?  It's almost as though the years of the Super Bowls are the only championships that matter.

Nice story about brother and sister bond...don't read these very often in the sports world.  Good to know that some athletes aren't all that macho....

Should this surprise anyone?.....

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/nfl-saints-had-bounty-program-funded-players-last-202353106.html

Not the first time this has happened.  The NFL investigated in 1989, when then Eagles' coach Buddy Ryan was accused of having a bounty on several of the Dallas Cowboys players.  The investigation proved negative.

Should the NFL find the Saints in violation of proper conduct, punishment, as stated in the article, will be severe.

I have to say, I'm a little surprised that this whole "bounties" thing is such a big deal. It seems to me that it'd be entirely legal if no money were involved.
