The puck bounced off both Nashville players there and the ref made the call with the thought in mind that Nashville brought the puck over the line, and not Colorado.

If that was the case I think the linesman is still wrong:

83.2 Deflections / Rebounds ? When a defending player propels the puck out of his defending zone and the puck clearly rebounds off a defending player in the neutral zone back into the defending zone, all attacking players are eligible to play the puck. However, any action by an attacking player that causes a deflection/rebound off a defending player in the neutral zone back into the defending zone (i.e. stick check, body check, physical contact), a delayed off-side shall be signaled by the Linesman.

And I think it needs to have been in the defensive zone, and come out into the neutral zone too, first.

The Islanders' grey, orange, blue and black uniforms might be the ugliest in all of sports.

Have they won a game with those jerseys on yet?

Yes, those jerseys are ugly.  Maybe they should change them for some better luck.

The best-looking Isles jerseys were the original 1980's version.  My personal preference.

The current 3rd is the worst jersey in hockey and it's not even close. Amazingly, the Islanders found a way to make a 3rd jersey even worse than the one they used from 2002-2007.

Just look at that piping!

Chicago is poised to beat Vancouver in regulation.  16 straight games with a point...and not the cheap kind either.  Their 3-OT losses came in the shootout so those would have been ties in the old system.

That will tie them for the longest point streak to start a season with the 2006-2007 Anaheim Ducks.  The Ducks went 12 games before losing a game in OT that year so 16 games overall with a point.

The pre-shootout record for start to the season were the 84-85 Oilers who went 12-0-3.

They are still quite a far from the overall consecutive games with a point record held by the Flyers though.  35 games (25-0-10) in 79-80.

My mistake.  It's the Blues.  :)

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Mark Olver's hit on Vladimir Tarasenko in last night's COL-STL game has been deemed legal hit and no further action is being contemplated

Man, it's a shame that none of the totally reasonable Jonathon Huberdeau trade proposals that got made here worked out cause he's pretty good.

I was expecting a lot more than a quick pivot and a 5 hole deke from the way they were hyping that up.

I agree that it was overhyped but that move required some pretty quick hands.
