Thems Hutchinson numbers.
Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled there's a game 5. I'm just surprised at price's results.

Also when they hit the homeruns.
It also coincided with two pitchers who don't have great movement on their pitches. Gallardo and Hamel were doing a good job of keeping balls to the outside but they were also having movement away from the plate. I'm not sure that the Jays beating up on two bad pitchers necessarily guarantees a hot start on Wednesday. Hopefully it's the case but no guarantee.
TML fan said:The decision to go with Price out of the bullpen has to be something that was talked about beforehand. As long as Price buys in, then I don't think there should be any animosity, but you have to wonder if this will be construed as a lack of confidence in his ability, which could quite possibly affect his decision this winter.
Potvin29 said:Also to consider was they were without both Cecil and Loup, leaving Price the only lefty in the bullpen.
Potvin29 said:I was a little surprised they went with who they went with for games 3 and 4. Jays actually hit Hamels okay in game 2 but really I wouldn't be surprised if he shut them down or was hit around.
Harry S. Truman, via R.A. Dickey, on getting pulled one out away from his first W in the playoffs. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't care who gets the credit

I'd say bringing him in during a must-win game shows confidence in his ability. Jays had to win that game and they could bring in Price knowing they have another ace they could send out on Wednesday.

They also had a 6 run lead. But like I said if he buys in, it's not a problem.

I won't be surprised if they leave Price and his 7.20 ERA on the bench.TML fan said:Anything less than 7 innings from Stroman and Price is coming in. Can't leave a guy like that on the bench in a do or die game.

Yeah, they should probably bench Tulowiztki too, now that we're worrying about numbers.

That's not really an equal comparison there, though I disagree with the initial comment anyway.
