6 yr $1.1M AAV let's go
I wouldn't rush to sign him, his 19.8% shooting percentage last season is really high. I love his intangibles but don't want to pay him 19.8% shooting percentage rates.

I'm betting we see Hyman back on the top line before the seasons out.

Are you not seeing where I suggested paying him only 1.1M per year until he is 35?

It's a terrible time to be a ufa. Maybe hyman does go for an extremely team friendly deal. Hey, someone has to eventually.
I will buy all the kid's books he publishes if he does. He also has an e-sports company. He definitely gets additional publicity in Toronto so who knows?

Pridham be like "this is what I live for"

This doesn't really do anything for the Leafs' cap picture, but Barabanov and Lehtonen split their pay. Maybe everyone else gets an off-day salary boost split amongst them.

If I am mathing this correctly, because of the 0.5M of cap space we are carrying while Dell is up, every two days we can afford one day of carrying one more player on the roster. Obviously it'll be saved for a rainy day, but that's my back of the napkin understanding at the moment (until Deebo corrects me).

I know Mirtle said it would take about 45 days before the Leafs have banked enough cap space for them to start carrying an additional player on the roster. That's assuming Dell doesn't get waived/reassigned, and the Leafs don't drop to a 20-man roster on non-game days.
