To make room for Ceci? lol.

I mean I would love to have Foegele and Bear didn't really have a great year last year but if this is just to have Edmonton have Barrie-Ceci on their blueline...LOL.

Also, apparently, a money thing for Carolina, as Foegele is arbitration eligible.

It's funny for both teams. Carolina "replacing" Hamilton with Bear because Foegele is an arbitration threat. Edmonton moving a promising young D to make room for Ceci.

I think moving Bear is a mistake...return is pretty good though.

Freddy Andersen - 2 years 4.5M to Carolina
Antti Raanta - 1 year deal to Carolina

That Ned trade just baffles me.  Also this free agency period is hilarious.  Everything has leaked before noon.  They should just make it 9AM.

Douggie Hamilton to New Jersey - 7 years 60+M

4 years 3.65M for Suter....not the length I would have gone there.

It's very strange to compare last offseason where teams seemed uncharacteristically frugal because of the flat cap to this one where the cap still remained the same.
