If they had a plan, I'm not sure why we wouldn't have seen it by now.

Yeah. Even if they were determined to trade Teo you almost think that he'd be considerably more valuable right now with all the bats off the market and teams still looking to improve.
Obviously they still have chips to play but I don't think there's any getting around the reality that they whiffed a bit here in December.
We should be able to get someone very good for one of our catchers. Kirk probably will go.Frank E said:Nik said:Dappleganger said:I can't help but think that the Jays misjudged what they were going to do to replace Teo's bat in the lineup.

Do we still think they can parlay one of the catchers into something meaningful?

I can't believe that's true. Kiermaier is an often injured and, frankly, not a very good hitter. The Jays can't really be banking on him being their every day CF.

Well I thought the outfield was Springer, Varsho, Kiermaier, Gurriel, Merrifield.
Springer, Varsho, Kiermaier, Merrifield can all play CF so I think a rotation of some sort there. No, I don't think Keirmaier is the everyday CF. I see him more as the Springer fill-in (Springer won't play a full season). With Gurriel leaving in the trade as well, I feel the outfield is less than complete.
