You know what kinda bugs me is that we always hear about the tax situation, but we never hear about the fact that these guys are paid in USD and have a 30% advantage living in Canada with the exchange. Besides, it’s not like these are people who are struggling to buy eggs for their family.

Also, with smart investment advice, a lot of the tax differences can be nullified. Can it be an influence? Sure, but the impact people place on it feels overblown.
