2024 Draft Discussion

Seeing Iginla's kid get drafted is cool. In grade 7 my class did a fantasy hockey draft together and I picked Jarome when he had his breakout season. This fact doesn't make me feel old at all.

Honesty I don't hate this draft format with a few people coming out to make the picks.  It's adding spectacle unlike previous years where 14 kids of the owner are on the stage to make the pick

I haven't seen every pick but so far have not heard a single team congratulate the Panthers for winning the Cup. Huge improvement.

Not a peep about the Panthers.  I think the NHL is renting that place out by the minute.

Oh wait yeah this actually makes sense.

Nice start for the Sharks getting Celebrini and Dickinson. That?s a big scoop on their second pick.

A third round pick to move up one slot?  What a bizarre move.  I feel like in the top half of the 1st round you should have 2 or three names you really like that shouldn't matter that much

Haha wth a one slot bump?

MIN sends their 13th overall and a 3rd for the 12th.

Both teams likely wanted the same guy, but Philly was willing to move on to their 2nd choice for the extra pick. Ten years from now, we?ll know if that was the right call.

The pace of the draft is slowing down.  Almost 9PM and we only have 13 picks down.

Vegas rolling the dice on the guy who was on most teams? DND list (Montreal probably would?ve if Vegas didn?t)
