Baseball isn't a real sport at this point. The Dodgers are just buying championships
And yet, much of the hockey fandom despise the NHL salary cap.

Honestly that doesn’t bother me. I’ll take this over the stupid NHL cap. And for all of the dodgers spending they really only have 1 legit World Series win in this era. I don’t care what anyone says, I don’t take any Covid championship seriously in any league, especially the mlb one - that 60 game season was ridiculous.Baseball isn't a real sport at this point. I think we despise how the NHL has implemented the cap and type of cap, not that there shouldn't be some kind of system. And yet, much of the hockey fandom despise the NHL salary cap.
Well, if they can sign Alonso, Santander, and Bregman…
To be fair that describes Hernandez, and most of us never wanted him gone and would have been happy to have him back.He can hit home runs...is a bad defender and isn't amazing on the base paths.
It's something the lineup needs but they still need to hit another home run whether it is Bregman or Alonso if they want to contend. This move does nothing to make me feel comfortable with the Jays.
Yeah that 40 million for 8 starts will be awesome.Jays are reportedly in talks with Max Scherzer.
If it's for a one-year deal, what's the downfall?Yeah that 40 million for 8 starts will be awesome.
That they’re counting on him as a starter and come June they’re down a starter? If it's for a one-year deal, what's the downfall?
I doubt he’s going from 43 million to being paid the rate of a reliever.Maybe like 1-year/$12m? I dunno what Max would command at this point.
No, but it also wouldn’t surprise me to see him take a performance bonus heavy contract with a lower guaranteed base. Like $18m that can become $30m+I doubt he’s going from 43 million to being paid the rate of a reliever.
