Honestly that doesn’t bother me. I’ll take this over the stupid NHL cap. And for all of the dodgers spending they really only have 1 legit World Series win in this era. I don’t care what anyone says, I don’t take any Covid championship seriously in any league, especially the mlb one - that 60 game season was ridiculous.

I think we despise how the NHL has implemented the cap and type of cap, not that there shouldn't be some kind of system.

A switch hitter that can go yard for 40+ is a very handy get

He can hit home runs...is a bad defender and isn't amazing on the base paths.

It's something the lineup needs but they still need to hit another home run whether it is Bregman or Alonso if they want to contend. This move does nothing to make me feel comfortable with the Jays.

To be fair that describes Hernandez, and most of us never wanted him gone and would have been happy to have him back.

But yes I agree, they need another impact bat.

I doubt he’s going from 43 million to being paid the rate of a reliever.

No, but it also wouldn’t surprise me to see him take a performance bonus heavy contract with a lower guaranteed base. Like $18m that can become $30m+
