I think that was nonsense. The ball was so easily and clearly retrievable. We saw at least half the ball exposed and so the player can just raise their hands and say oh it's too hard to retrieve with no attempt made so it's a double. How ridiculous. This wasn't a situation where it was clearly a hard to retrieve ball.

Yea, I'm not sure how something can be declared "lodged" or dead when there was literally no attempt to even try to extract the ball. Immediately the fielder stopped and didn't go near it. Just alot of things that didn't go our way, unfortunately (not to mention Schneider leaving Gimenez in in the 7th with a runner on, down by 2, against a LHP that is especially susceptible to RHB)
