Matthews adds a goal on the powerplay to extend the US lead to 2-0

Not a vintage whip laser, but good hand eye in tight to tip and shovel the point shot through.

Two no look back passes in the neutral zone already, one was intercepted, one was knocked away. Canada needs to stop that. Eventually it will come back to bite them.

Good pace to start, good chance for McDavid but a save by Dostal.
 
Czechs a bit more dangerous than I remember from the opening game. Also a bit more grumpy taking shots after the play. This is going to be a bit more physical it seems.
 
Wow, the Czechs playing really well - Canada could legitimately lose this game if this keeps up.

Edit: Czechs up 2-1 with a PPG and are bullying Canada 5 on 5. This is not looking good so far.

Edit: 2-1 Czechs after 1. Hopefully Canada regroups and starts tilting the ice the other way. After the first few minutes, their chances seemed to be held to the perimeter and Dostal with a lot of saves where the puck just hit him in the crest.

Edit: 2-2 after 2, PPG MacKinnon. Canada with a minute left on a PP to start the 3rd. Would be nice to get one there.
